Transparent has designed a complete system of products that offer flexibility no matter what your power conditioning needs. We offer power distribution, switching control, isolation and filtration, and power cords. Using our Power Product System, you will improve the sound of your audio system, and clear your room of the usual tangle of extension cords, bulky and noisy power conditioning units, and outlet strips. Home theater systems benefit as well, since our products reduce noise and modulation and help isolate components, resulting in a clearer picture and cleaner sound.

PowerLink XL Power Cord

The PowerLink XL is a 2 meter, 14 AWG high current capability, grounded power cord which is precision constructed of heavy, solid core OFHC conductors for greater power handling. Teflon insulation and three shields help reduce noise. The custom-designed network circuit rejects RF noise. The cord is UL and CE approved for high voltage, high heat applications. The PowerLink XL was specifically designed for use in tight quarters such as cabinets and shelves that house digital, low signal level processors or preamplifiers, or lower powered amplifiers. Its sturdy construction, termination integrity, and noise blocking technology make it a safe and musically satisfying alternative to standard and audiophile grade power cords. The PowerLink XL power cord has a network module, like those on Transparent analog interconnects and speaker cables, to reduce high frequency noise. This network is a far more effective noise reducer and sounds far more neutral than the "cable alone" approach of audiophile power cords. Many audiophile cords have resonances that actually increase the impact of noise in the frequency areas affected by these resonances. The effect may be euphonic, but these euphonic distortions prevent you from hearing your favorite music as it was recorded. Transparent PowerLink XL cords are truly transparent.

Reference PowerLink Power Cord

The Reference PowerLink is a 2 meter high current capability grounded power cord. PowerBank 8

The PowerBank 8 has 8 hospital grade outlets, 4 switched and 4 unswitched. The first stage of filtering provides RF noise suppression. The second stage of filtering provides wideband filtering, down to approximately 1000 Hz. In addition to PowerBank 8's main filtering, two outlets have extra isolation filtering for digital and video components. The PowerBank 8 has a 2-meter, 10-gauge high current power cord. The PowerBank 8 can be mounted with the included rackmount brackets or sit on a standard component shelf with the rackmount brackets removed.

The PowerBank 6 has 6 grounded outlets and is fitted with a 2-meter power cord. Three LEDs on the front faceplate indicate Power On, Surge Protection Active, and Ground Fault if the wall AC outlet is wired incorrectly. Transparent PowerLink power cords provide additional filtering and isolation when used with the PowerBank6. The PowerBank 6 can be mounted with the included rackmount brackets or sit on a standard component shelf with the rackmount brackets removed.

PowerIsolator MM

The new PowerIsolator MM (PIMM) is the first line of defense against line noise and grunge in your system. The PIMM plugs directly into a wall outlet and provides two 15-amp hospital grade outlets, so you can protect two components with one PIMM unit. PIMM has a detachable PowerLink MM power cord that connects to a 20-amp IEC socket on the back of the unit.
All connections are made at the rear of the chassis so it is easy to use PIMM in a rack or on a component shelf. The chassis is 2 rack spaces high with its cone-shaped feet removed. Three PIMMs fit perfectly side-by-side on a rack shelf.
PIMM makes maximum use of what Transparent has learned in its research about power line noise contamination. Transparent's Isolator MM noise filtration circuit carries out three vital tasks: first and foremost it removes noise, but it also enables power to pass in-phase to your component, and it does not limit current. In-phase power is critical to your system keeping its natural tonal balance, and unlimited current allows your system to breathe dynamically and give you the full impact of musical events -- qualities that are lost through most conditioners and filtration devices. The PowerLink MM cord offers additional protection via its RF-noise inhibiting network.

The PowerLink MM power cord is 2 meters long and is fitted with an RF-noise inhibiting network.

PowerIsolator Reference

The new PowerIsolator Reference (PIR) is a versatile ally in the fight against line noise and grunge in your system. The PIR incorporates most of the qualities we developed in our top power product, the PowerIsolator MM, while offering the versatility of four 15-amp hospital grade outlets. You can protect up to four components with one PIR unit, although performance increases to a higher level when fewer components are connected. The PIR has a detachable PowerLink Super power cord that plugs into a 15-amp IEC socket on the back of the unit.
It is easy to use PIR in a rack or on a component shelf. The chassis is 3 rack spaces high and comes with rack-mount "ears" and hardware for a secure installation.
As with most of our Power Products, you can further improve the performance of your PIR (and all the components downstream from it) simply by upgrading your power cord to a Reference PowerLink, PowerLink XL or PowerLink MM.

The PowerIsolator 8 features the security of surge protection without any of the performance drawbacks normally associated with surge protectors. After extensive research, Transparent developed an avalanche-diode design that gives the ultimate in protection; this is offered on all of our PowerBank and PowerIsolator products.
The eight outlets on the PowerIsolator 8 are separated into four noise-isolated Banks. Each Bank offers identical performance and can be use with any type of audio or video component, including high power amplifiers. To achieve the best noise filtration performance from the PowerIsolator 8 use it with only four components; plug one component into each of the four noise-isolated Banks. However, the PowerIsolator 8 can also provide excellent performance for up to eight components by carefully using the four isolated Banks to separate noisy components from each other. For example: plug digital source components into one isolated Bank; video components into another; audio amplifiers into the third; and preamplifiers and processors into the fourth. This approach can provide a very high performance level of noise filtration and surge protection for an entire system.
For best results you should replace your components' cords with Transparent PowerLink power cords. The PowerIsolator 8's own detachable PowerLink Plus power cord can also be upgraded to a higher level Transparent power cord for increased performance.

PowerIsolator 4

The PowerIsolator 4 shares technology with Powerisolator XL, but offers it in a convenient multi-outlet configuration. The PowerIsolator 4 plugs directly into your wall outlet and provides 4 hospital grade outlets.

We recommend using the PowerIsolator 4 with as few components as possible, to achieve the greatest amount of isolation, but as many as four components may be accommodated in this one unit. To gain the most benefit from PowerIsolator technology, use multiple PI units, dedicating each one to a single category of component; i.e., one for digital components, one for video components, one for preamps and processors, and one for amps. If your amplifiers exceed 100 watts per channel, use a PI4 for each amplifier. As with the PowerIsolator XL unit, PowerIsolator 4 will improve the performance of an audio component using its standard power cord or any of our detachable power cords; ask your dealer to set you up with demo versions of several of our PowerLink cords, so that you can hear the differences in your own home system.
